Imiwneiddiadau Ffliw - Hysbysiad Uwch
Bydd Gwasanaeth Nyrsio’r Ysgol yn ymweld â’r ysgol i gynnig brechlyn chwistrell ffliw trwyn i ddisgyblion ar ddydd Iau, 9fed o Dachwedd.
Gellir llenwi'r ffurflen ganiatâd yma: https://forms.office.com/e/eyggpck0Kf
Cyflwynwch un ffurflen fesul plentyn ddim hwyrach na 48 awr cyn y dyddiad uchod. Gall unrhyw ffurflenni caniatâd a gyflwynir ar ôl yr amser hwn olygu na fydd eich plentyn yn cael ei frechlyn ar y diwrnod. Os cewch unrhyw anawsterau wrth gael mynediad i'r ddolen uchod, cysylltwch â 01633 431685 am ragor o gymorth.
Rydym yn deall bod rhai safbwyntiau gwahanol o ran brechiadau. Fodd bynnag, credwn ei bod yn bwysig iawn amddiffyn eich plentyn rhag y ffliw i wneud yn siŵr ei fod yn aros mor iach â phosibl, gan fod ffliw yn debygol o gylchredeg y gaeaf hwn. Y brechlyn ffliw gorau ar gyfer y rhan fwyaf o blant yw chwistrell trwyn. Felly, nid pigiad â nodwydd yw hwn. I gael gwybodaeth am frechu rhag y ffliw ewch i www.phw.nhs.wales/fluvaccine.

Diolchiadau Mawr
Fel y gwyddoch, mae Estyn wedi bod gyda ni dros yr wythnos ddiwethaf yn cynnal arolygiad o’n hysgol. Er bod y canfyddiadau ar hyn o bryd yn gyfrinachol, rydym yn disgwyl gallu rhannu'r canfyddiadau llawn gyda chi ddydd Llun, 27 Tachwedd.
Ar y pwynt hwn, hoffwn ddiolch i bedair set o bobl am eu cefnogaeth gyda'r arolygiad hwn. Yn gyntaf, mae’r plant wedi bod yn fendigedig – maen nhw wedi cymryd pobl yn dod i mewn ac allan o’u gwersi he broblem. Maen nhw wedi cael llawer o gwestiynau am lawer o bethau gwahanol yn ymwneud â bywyd ysgol fel bod yr adroddiad yn adlewyrchu llais y plant. Yn ail, mae’r staff wedi gweithio’n galed iawn dros y ddwy flynedd ac ychydig ddiwethaf yn gwella addysg Ysgol Panteg gymaint – mae eu hangerdd dros ddarparu’r gorau i bob plentyn bob amser mor glir. Diolch hefyd i deuluoedd a lenwodd yr holiadur ac a ddaeth i gyfarfod rhieni Estyn - mae'r arolygwyr yn cymryd eich barn o ddifrif a bydd yn cael ei hadlewyrchu yn yr adroddiad. Ac, yn olaf, i’r corff llywodraethu sydd wedi cefnogi staff a phlant yr ysgol drwy’r broses hon a thros y blynyddoedd.
Ni allaf ganmol tîm yr arolygiaeth ddigon. Rydych chi'n clywed llawer o straeon yn y wasg am arolygiadau ac yn fwyaf diweddar rhai negyddol iawn yn Lloegr. Serch hynny, roedd y tîm mor gefnogol, trylwyr (gan adael dim carreg heb ei throi), heriol, gonest a theg. Ni allem fod wedi gofyn am well dîm.
Rwy’n addo, cyn gynted ag y byddaf yn gallu rhannu’r wybodaeth yn gyfreithiol, y gwnaf hynny gyda chi. Fel y nodwyd uchod, rhagwelir y bydd hyn ar ddydd Llun, 27ain o Dachwedd. Felly, ar ddydd Mercher, 29ain o Dachwedd, byddaf yn cynnal cyflwyniad i fynd drwy’r adroddiad gyda theuluoedd. (Weithiau gall jargon addysgol ei gwneud hi’n anodd ei ddeall i bobl y tu allan i’r maes addysg - ac mae pawb yn haeddu gwybod yn union beth yw cryfderau ysgol eu plentyn a’r meysydd i’w datblygu). Bydd mwy o fanylion yn dilyn am hyn.
Gallaf ddweud fy mod i’n llawn balchder gyda’n Teulu Panteg am ba mor bell rydyn ni wedi dod.

Cyfarfodydd Cynnydd a Lles Disgyblion - Nodyn Atgoffa Brys!
Diolch i'r rhai sydd wedi cofrestru ar gyfer y cyfarfodydd hyn i deuluoedd ac athrawon. Mae tua chwarter ohonoch wedi cofrestru erbyn hyn - os nad ydych wedi cofrestru, gwnewch hyn heddiw!
Rydym angen gwybod eich argaeledd ar gyfer dydd Llun 9fed o Hydref, dydd Mawrth 10fed o Hydref a dydd Mercher 11eg o Hydref er mwyn trefnu slotiau. Heb adael i ni wybod eich argaeledd, bydd slotiau dros ben yn cael eu dyrannu i chi ac efallai ni fyddent yn fwyaf addas i chi.
Fel y gwelwch o'r ddolen uchod, rydym yn cynnig y cyfarfodydd hyn trwy dri dull. Ein dull dewisol yw y byddech yn mynychu'r cyfarfod mewn-person yn yr ysgol. Fodd bynnag, rydym hefyd yn cynnig ymgynghoriadau dros y ffôn a Microsoft Teams.
Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer rhoi gwybod i ni eich argaeledd yw dydd Mercher, 4ydd o Hydref am 9yb. Bydd athro eich plentyn wedyn yn trefnu amser apwyntiad mwy penodol yn seiliedig ar eich argaeledd. Bydd y rhain yn cael eu dosbarthu ar sail y cyntaf i'r felin - felly, cofrestrwch yn gynnar!
Yn ystod yr wythnos hon, ni fydd unrhyw glybiau sy'n cael eu rhedeg gan yr ysgol yn cael eu cynnal sy'n caniatáu i staff gwrdd â theuluoedd. Bydd y clybiau hynny sy’n cael eu rhedeg gan yr Urdd a Menter Iaith yn parhau fel arfer.

MacMillan Coffee Morning
As we come to another busy week at Ysgol Panteg it has been so good to have so many of our families in for our coffee morning! The place was packed and we had so many cakes! Thank you to all who donated and to all who were able to come this morning!
We raised an amazing £830.71 for MacMillan Cancer Care today! We joined tens of thousands of people across the UK today who are campaigning for better support for people living with cancer.
The money raised today will help Macmillan provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience. They provide emotional, practical, physical, and financial support. They also provide healthcare professionals with up-to-date resources, tools, information, and training courses to help them to support people living with cancer. And, they research into cancer care improvement.
Thank you to every one of you who have helped us to support this very worthy cause!

Flu Immunisations - Advanced Notice
The School Nursing Service will be visiting the school to offer pupils a nasal flu spray vaccine on Thursday, 9th of November.
The consent form can be completed here: https://forms.office.com/e/eyggpck0Kf
Please submit one form per child no later than 48 hours before the above date. Any consent forms submitted after this time may result in your child not receiving their vaccine on the day. Should you have any difficulties accessing the above link, please contact 01633 431685 for further support.
We understand that there are some differing views with regards to vaccinations. However, we believe it is very important to protect your child from flu to make sure they stay as healthy as possible, as flu is likely to circulate this winter. The best flu vaccine for most children is a nasal spray. So, this is not an injection with a needle. For information about flu vaccination please visit www.phw.nhs.wales/fluvaccine.
YEAR 5

A Big Thank You
As you know, Estyn has been in with us over the past week conducting an inspection of our school. Although at present the findings are confidential, we expect to be able to share the full findings with you on Monday, 27th of November.
At this point, I want to thank four sets of people for their support with this inspection. Firstly, the children have been wonderful - they’ve taken people coming in and out of their lessons in their stride. They’ve had lots questioning them about lots of different things to do with school life so that the report reflects the voice of the children. Secondly, the staff have worked really hard over the last two and a bit years improving education at Ysgol Panteg so much - their passion for providing the best for each child is always so clear. Thank you also to families who filled out the questionnaire and came to the Estyn parents meeting - your views are taken very seriously by the inspectors and will be reflected in the report. And, finally, to the governing body who have supported the school staff and children through this process and over the years.
I cannot praise the inspectorate team enough. You hear lots of stories in the press about inspections and most recently some very negative ones in England. However, the team were so supportive, thorough (leaving no stone unturned), challenging, honest and fair. We could not have asked for a better team.
I promise that as soon as I am legally able to share the information, I will do so with you. As stated above, this is anticipated to be on Monday, 27th of November. So, on Wednesday, 29th of November, I will be holding a presentation to go through the report with families. (Sometimes educational jargon can make it hard to understand for people outside of the field of education - and everyone deserves to know exactly the strengths and areas for development of their child’s school). More details will follow about this.
Needless to say, I am bursting with pride with our Teulu Panteg for how far we’ve come.

Pupil Progress and Wellbeing Meetings - Urgent Reminder!
Thank you to those who have signed up for these family and teacher meetings. About a quarter of you have now signed up - if you haven’t signed up, please do this today!
We need to know your availability for Monday 9th of October, Tuesday 10th of October and Wednesday 11th of October in order to arrange slots. Without letting us know your availability, you will be allocated leftover slots that might not be the most suitable for you.
As you will see from the above link, we are offering these meetings through three methods. Our preferred method is that you would attend the meeting in person at the school. However, we also offer telephone and Microsoft Teams consultations.
The closing date for letting us know your availability is Wednesday, 4th of October at 9am. Your child's teacher will then arrange a more specific appointment time based on your availability. These will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis - so, sign up early!
During this week, no school-run clubs will be running allowing staff to meet with families. Those clubs run by the Urdd and Menter Iaith will continue as usual.
